Directors of the Confluence Heritage Society
Shirley Evans
Interim President
In my spare time I like to make quilts and rugs and other crafts which reflect our cultural heritage. I have recently opened a wool shop which has a variety of interesting yarns for sale.
I became involved with the Confluence Heritage Society several years ago because the Historic Site is part of my own history and the history of my community.
I have found that belonging to the "Friends" has been a lot of fun and I have enjoyed taking part in activities such as the Canada Day Barbeque.
Joan Pasieka
Vice President
I have lived in the Rocky area for forty years and enjoy all it has to offer. I enjoy doing crafts of all types. Spending time with my family and friends is important to me. I also enjoy traveling. The National Historic Site has something to offer for everyone. Come join us

RMH National Historic Site Manager
I am the manager at Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site.
I have been employed with Parks Canada since 1982. I have been involved in the management of the development and delivery of programs and operations in the Cape Breton Field Unit at Fortress of Louisbourg, NHSC, the largest reconstructed French Fortified Town in North America. As program manager my role required me to manage a large visitor experience program with visitation exceeding 100,000 visitors annually.
I managed an offer of multi-dimensional programming through the use of a large National Historic site, built facilities, services, partners, cooperating association, human resources and programs. This time provided me with significant experience in marketing, planning, developing, managing, delivering and evaluating programs and services to ensure quality visitor experiences, education and protection which I would like to share with all involved at RMHNHSC as we move forward with facilitating exceptional visitor experiences.
